During the second quarter of 2021, the top beauty retail apps on the Android platform in Kenya showcased varying trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here's a detailed look at the performance of these apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nykaa - Beauty Shopping App saw a notable increase in its weekly downloads, peaking at 301 in the week of May 31. The app started the quarter with a modest 39 downloads in the final week of March but experienced a significant surge in late May and early June. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 1.3K at the end of March to around 1.7K by the third week of June.

VPerfumes- Buy Perfumes demonstrated a fluctuating download pattern. Downloads spiked to 355 in the final week of May, after starting the quarter with just 22 downloads. However, a sharp decline was observed in June, with downloads dropping to 3 by the end of the month.

My Forever India experienced a significant boost in downloads with a peak of 272 in the week of May 31. Active users also increased from 10 in late May to 131 in the same week, although there was some fluctuation in June, ending the quarter with 90 active users.

Purplle Online Beauty Shopping had varied download numbers throughout the quarter. The highest downloads of 132 were recorded in mid-May. Active user trends were more consistent, starting at 95 at the end of March and peaking at 277 in mid-May before stabilizing around 140-177 in June.

Ajmal showed a gradual increase in downloads from 5 at the end of March to a peak of 107 in the week of May 24. This was followed by a slight decline to 75 downloads by the end of May.
